Introduction

Applejack is a character that has a huge ground game. Lasso and Quake help space and control everything. She has some semi decent pokes. Getting hit confirms is important when playing Applejack. One hit and you can either do 50% or 100%. Using the character specific short hop helps Applejack rush the opponent down and go for mix-ups.

Applejack's most versatile combo. It combines relative ease of input with a high damage output, making it a popular choice for beginners to experts alike. Note that you will usually hitconfirm into this combo by landing a shorthopped j.C.

Unlike most characters, AJ likes to combo her opponents out in the midscreen with plenty of lasso room rather than lock them in a corner and juggle them. Because of this, you have to make a few adjustments near the stage edges, often with quite a bit of improvisation. The given combo assumes your opponent stays on one side of you, but often Buck C will cause them to wallbounce over your head, requiring a change of tactics. An understanding of the combo system and of Applejack's moves will greatly aid you in making the best of any situation.

The same as above, but assuming you have the meter available to perform a LV2. This combo will ToD any opponent. The reason we do not combo into the super from a buck C (as in the former combos) is that AJ's LV2 resets the blowback count of the combo unless it has already been exceeded. This gives you two extra wallbounces for the follow up—allowing a clean KO of even AJ.

Often you will snag your opponent unawares with a lasso A, and you'll have to begin your combo from there. This sequence just reorders the launches and blowbacks in the combo for maximum effect. Note: The parenthesized bit may or may not be possible due to spacing.
